The week in rants, raves and randoms.

Rants:
  • Would you like to hear my gym woes from the past week? You would? Oh, good. First, I arrive at the apartment gym and there's a chick on the treadmill already (there's only one treadmill...our landlord obviously cares deeply about our fitness)...and she's wearing flip-flops. And she's running. Seriously? I grudgingly climbed onto the stationary bike and pedaled away for fifteen minutes, glaring at her feet whenever possible, trying to subtly shame her out of the gym. When she finally left, I snagged the treadmill and started running when BAM, my hair tie snapped. Really? Really? But like a trooper, I ran for half an hour with my flowing locks billowing behind me. It was like Baywatch, except there was more clothing and more sweat and it was far less attractive. So, what I'm saying is that it wasn't like Baywatch at all.
  • A seagull pooped on me at the beach. A big, squishy, smelly white pile, right on the back of my shoulder. Hey, bird! I am not a toilet.
Raves:
  • Drink an entire blender of healthy fruit smoothies last night for dinner? Don't mind if I do.
  • New accessories for my desk have arrived! Have I mentioned that getting packages in the mail is one of my top ten favorite things in the world? Slowly but surely, my "office" is coming together and I absolutely love it. I can't wait to post pictures when it's all finished and I can bask in its loveliness all day long :)
  • I gave myself a haircut this week. How's that for DIY? Next I'm going to stop going to the dentist. I'll just fill my own cavities on the cheap. Super glue will work, yes?
  • Ryan just finished up week one of his first graduate class at USC. Work AND grad school? I'm married to such a hardworking smarty-pants.
  • Hands down the very best week of Big Brother this summer. In November, I'm writing Dan in as my vote for President of the United States.
Random:
  • This week, someone found my blog by searching, "What happens when you have left side brain damage?" Ohhh, interwebs, you kill me. For the answer to that question, I would like to direct you to the above photo. That is all.

  2. That picture of the doggies just made my day :) They're precious!

My Husband got pooped on by a seagull once. I laughed my booty off, but I kinda believe in karma...so every time I'm at the beach, I'm weary of those little birds.

I love getting packages...it's like it's your birthday, except it's not!

  3. I love some of the searches that are used that link to my blog! So funny.

I don't know whether to think Dan is a genious or to be furious with me. Yes it was the best game move ever in the history of big brother, but Britney was right, he treated people terribly. What he did to both Britney and Danielle was kind of disgusting. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to the end if this moves gets him votes or loses him votes. I'm way to into this show...
