The week in rants, raves and randoms.

  • Would you like to hear my gym woes from the past week? You would? Oh, good. First, I arrive at the apartment gym and there's a chick on the treadmill already (there's only one treadmill...our landlord obviously cares deeply about our fitness)...and she's wearing flip-flops. And she's running. Seriously? I grudgingly climbed onto the stationary bike and pedaled away for fifteen minutes, glaring at her feet whenever possible, trying to subtly shame her out of the gym. When she finally left, I snagged the treadmill and started running when BAM, my hair tie snapped. Really? Really? But like a trooper, I ran for half an hour with my flowing locks billowing behind me. It was like Baywatch, except there was more clothing and more sweat and it was far less attractive. So, what I'm saying is that it wasn't like Baywatch at all.
  • A seagull pooped on me at the beach. A big, squishy, smelly white pile, right on the back of my shoulder. Hey, bird! I am not a toilet.
  • Drink an entire blender of healthy fruit smoothies last night for dinner? Don't mind if I do.
  • New accessories for my desk have arrived! Have I mentioned that getting packages in the mail is one of my top ten favorite things in the world? Slowly but surely, my "office" is coming together and I absolutely love it. I can't wait to post pictures when it's all finished and I can bask in its loveliness all day long :)
  • I gave myself a haircut this week. How's that for DIY? Next I'm going to stop going to the dentist. I'll just fill my own cavities on the cheap. Super glue will work, yes?
  • Ryan just finished up week one of his first graduate class at USC. Work AND grad school? I'm married to such a hardworking smarty-pants.
  • Hands down the very best week of Big Brother this summer. In November, I'm writing Dan in as my vote for President of the United States.
  • This week, someone found my blog by searching, "What happens when you have left side brain damage?" Ohhh, interwebs, you kill me. For the answer to that question, I would like to direct you to the above photo. That is all.

  1. I mean, getting packages in the mail is kind of like the best thing ever!

  2. That picture of the doggies just made my day :) They're precious!

My Husband got pooped on by a seagull once. I laughed my booty off, but I kinda believe in every time I'm at the beach, I'm weary of those little birds.

I love getting's like it's your birthday, except it's not!

  3. I love some of the searches that are used that link to my blog! So funny.

I don't know whether to think Dan is a genious or to be furious with me. Yes it was the best game move ever in the history of big brother, but Britney was right, he treated people terribly. What he did to both Britney and Danielle was kind of disgusting. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to the end if this moves gets him votes or loses him votes. I'm way to into this show...

  4. Your post made my day! Who runs in flip flops?? You were probably more Baywatch than you think ;) Have a great weekend!

  5. Big Brother was crazyyyy this week, Dan was unbelievable! I was watching with my jaw dropped the entire time lol. Have a fabulous weekend!

  6. I tried Silly Putty but it didn't woel so let me know if the super glue does.

  7. I love sending and getting mail! One of my favorite things. Sadly there aren't enough people in the world that see the fun in it.

  8. packages in the mail are my favorite! I love buying things, forgetting about them, and getting excited all over again when they arrive!
Hope you have a fab weekend with those two adorable fur babies and your smarty pants man :)

  9. Ahhh I love Big Brother (Australian one just started!)

Smoothies are soo good! It is a serious life necessity for me at the moment. Plus how good is getting packages - it truly is the little things in life :)
