Our whimsical, woodland nursery.

For months and months, I've been obsessing away over this little labor of love. Before we knew our little nugget's gender, I had a very modern, whimsical/woodsy nursery theme in mind. Once we found out we had a little guy in there, things evolved into a full-fledged woodland wonderland!

If you know anything about me, you know I'm wild about DIY projects. Since we bought our home almost two years ago, I've been all over renovating it from its tired 90's, builder-grade blah into a unique space. When we found out we were expecting, all of my many project plans came to a grinding halt - because we weren't really into the idea of exposing our little dude to sanding dust and paint fumes and concrete (because if you believe the state of California, practically EVERYTHING is known to cause cancer and/or birth defects). As much as I adore being a big, crazy, pregnant lady, I miss my projects something fierce! So our nursery kept me delightedly busy with DIYs, from the crib sheets to the mobile to the Moroccan pouf, and probably 90% of the things in between :)

We're just over 3 weeks away from our due date, and I finally have our baby's room "finished" and ready for his arrival...you know, until I decide I need to sew another throw pillow or something.

P.S. Mr. "K" DOES have a full name, to be revealed in full on social media after his arrival ;)

  7. I love your nursery and the woodland theme. I'm going to do the same theme but with a more modern interpretation and arrows. I love how versatile we can be with the "same" theme. Your rug is awesome, where did you find it?

    1. Thanks, Katie! I agree - I got so much fun inspiration from different woodland nurseries on Pinterest, but in the end it ended up evolving into a totally unique little space :) The rug is from Urban Outfitters!
