I wish...

What I wore: Shoes, DIY. Jeans & jacket, AE Outfitters. Top, Marshalls. Necklace, Express.

I wish I could smile without teeth and not look like I was sniffing a fart.
I wish I had made more poor decisions in college (not BIG poor decisions, but little ones,
like going out more often instead of studying).
I wish ice cream was calorie-free.
I wish I was better at making small talk without sounding like a total idiot.
I wish I'd worn fewer pairs of sweatpants in high school.
I wish pots and pans cleaned themselves.
I wish my Grandma was alive to read some of my writing.
I wish I was more spontaneous.
I wish Law & Order SVU would suck it up and pay Christopher Meloni enough to come back.
I wish I could still go pole vaulting because I miss it.
I wish Yoshi could bathe himself.
I wish I had slim, dainty shoulders instead of broad, linebacker shoulders.
I wish it was ten degrees warmer everywhere I went because I'm constantly freezing.
I wish politics would start being about issues that affect our country
and stop being about one party versus the other.
I wish I could create an anonymous Facebook account and then grammar-Nazi
the crap out of unsuspecting Facebookers.

Happy Wednesday!

  1. I too wish I could gift everyone on Facebook with spellcheck, and let them know that when they write in alternating caps and lowercase, or abbreviate all their words they just look unintelligent, not cute!

  2. Great wish list! I agree with many of them! Especially the politics one.. this is going to be one brutal presidential campaign.

  3. Truth about the small talk. I just don't get it. AND THE FACEBOOK GRAMMER NAZI!!! Please. Please do. Maybe you could even turn it into a paid position to better the world or something.

  7. I love your wishes!

While you're correcting grammer, will you also tell people that using hashtags on facebook doesn't work?

I hate that hindsight usually reveals the things that you wish you would've done differently. But it could be that had you gone out more, you would've wished you'd studied more :)

  15. Hey girl! You commented on my Rent the Runway post. Here's my reply haha: Yeah, it really is such a great idea. And I haven't either! So true. And I mean you could still sign up for the heck of it & help a girl out!

  16. 1) Your smile is beautiful.
    2) Your glory days should have been the days when you could wear sweatpants all the time (aka highschool)...Being a grown up makes it so much harder to get away with that.
    3) If I knew how to wear heels/wedges I would buy those adorable shoes in a heart beat.

  27. Hahahah I love that last wish. If only some wishes could make themselves come true, like the ones about the pots and pans and the small talk. Dishwashers are as close as we get to the former, and with practice the latter could come true too I guess haha.
