The week in rants, raves and randoms.

This dog is too much adorable in one little body. I don't know how he finds positions like this comfortable.
Rants:
  • No rants allowed during Birthday Week. Your regularly scheduled rants will return next week. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Raves:
  • I'm now privy to the laundry room secret. Wednesday I was hauling some wet clothes over to the dryers when this guy gets my attention. "Hey," he whispers. "You should use this one. It's only a quarter." He proceeds to point to the dryer next to him. And I'm thinking, this guy is a lunatic...death by dryer is not how I thought I'd go. But I smiled and walked over there. Apprehensively, I loaded my clothes into the dryer and fed one quarter into the slot. BAM. It worked! "See? Nice, huh? Just keep it a secret, okay?" The guy winks at me. Creepy, yes. But, hey, I'm now saving 75 cents per load. Score
  • Each morning when I awaken, the kitchen is spotless (which is definitely not how I tend to leave it at night). I think we have a cleaning fairy (or, Ryan is really awesome).
  • We have guests! And we have cool plans all weekend and into next week! And it's exciting!
  • I've finally memorized the 30 Day Shred workouts so now I can do them without actually watching. Sure, I miss Jillian's brute encouragement a bit, but now I can watch "One Tree Hill" while I get a good workout in. Hooray!
  • Speaking of "One Tree Hill"...I know I'm late to the party, but I'm now obsessed. I never watched it when it was on TV, but my friend told me I had to check it out on Netflix. It took awhile to get past the over-dramatic plot lines (how many people on this show are going to have near death experiences?!) but I'm hooked. Like, waste my entire afternoon watching episode after episode hooked. It's bad.
Random:
  • Did you know that I can touch my nose with the tip of my tongue? Now you do.
Have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to get ours started!

  3. Listen. OTH. I watched it until someone/two people left the show. Find me when you need a therapist. I'm still upset. so maybe.. you should find a better therapist:) It was like 4 years ago.

  7. I can't touch my nose w/the tip of my tongue.

The picture of the doggy made me giggle...they always find the strangest positions, yet somehow still look comfortable. I wish I were a dog sometimes.

Yay for saving some money at the dryer!

  11. Those pictures are so adorable. My dog lays in weird positions too; it's really strange. The best is one time I guess he was having a bad dream and he legs were moving/running while he was laying in his sleep. As for one tree hill --what a great show. Enjoy your company!

  12. After a week of the 30 Day Shred I had to put it on mute, because I Found myself cursing Jillian Michaels for being so annoying. I get a little angry when I work out.
I tried to watch One Tree Hill a few weeks ago but couldn't get into the first episode. I'll have to try again!

  18. Just FYI...we had one of those sneaky dryers at my apartment, and I always used it (and I told few.) Last week I awoke to the sound of sirens. Said sneaky dryer tried to burn our laundry room down. (Luckily I had done laundry the day before!) You've been warned.

  19. that is a fantastic dryer secret. 25 cents a load aint too shabby. could you leave a note for that cleaning fairy to make its way to my house? also, i haven't seen one tree hill (though i've heard multiple times that it's really good) but i did watch Glee on netflix so much that garrett was considering an intervention. it was crack tv. have a good weekend!
