Yoshi & Dobby go to Vegas.

During the 4 hour car ride to Las Vegas, two things happened.
1. My butt went numb, and
2. Yoshi and Dobby became supreme cuddle buddies.
The three of us shared the front seat and the pups were smooshed together like sardines
(though there was plenty of room available in the back) and I wish I'd had my real camera
handy to take some pictures of their first real snuggle fest.
I know we're borderline insane for bringing dogs to Vegas, but it was an
unexpected trip to meet up with some friends who were vacationing there,
and I'm a big weenie who feels bad boarding her dogs
(Yoshi may never have forgiven us if we'd left him).
So we shelled out an extra $30 for a pet-friendly hotel room and
these guys had a party in the room Sunday night while we were partying on the strip.
After checkout on Monday we took them walking to see the sights,
and THEN we found out that Las Vegas just passed an ordinance banning
dogs from walking the strip unless they're wearing shoes because their tootsies can get
burnt on the sidewalk, so we got to carry the doggies for half an hour
walking back to the car in the sweltering heat,
(which they thoroughly enjoyed, being the lazy turds that they are).
Now we're home and they're happy to poop in their own grass
and snuggle on their own couch while I make my way through
800-ish pictures from the trip.
Let the "I've-been-staring-at-the-computer-too-long" headaches begin!

  1. That's so ridic! Dogs can burn their little paws?! Aw! I guess it's good. At least they're small dogs and not like a 200 pound elephant dog. Because that would suck.

  2. My little one loves to cuddle with me when he's in the car. He gets so excited to ride in the car & once he's in he immediately gets tired & has to lay down in my lap!

  5. How cute is it that they got to go with you! I could never think about leaving Snoopy behind in a shelter, so I probably would have done the same!

  11. My dogs fight each other to fit in my lap on car rides, but luckily they both fit ;) I never thought about their paws burning though, makes me wonder about DC and our heat lately...yikes :(

  12. Oh my gosh, our pug would NEVER be able to handle a car ride like that. He can't even handle a 15 to 20 minute ride. FLIPS out, I tell you. ;) Glad you guys had fun, and I can't wait to see pictures!!

This is the part where you tell the pups how cute they are.
...but seriously, thank you so much for stopping by and for your wonderful comment! I read them all and try to respond as often as I can. We hope you visit again soon :)
