What I wore: Boots, Target. Skirt & Top, Forever 21. |
Rants:
- I was out running this week, when I was viciously attacked by a rabid dog. And by that, I mean I was running past a family out in their front yard when their teeny tiny dog began chasing me, yapping at my ankles. The mom started running after the dog and I stopped so that she could pick him up but before she could grab him, he scratched his tiny little needle teeth across the top of my foot. And it hurt. If I was more of a true uh-mur-can, I'd be slapping that lady with a hefty lawsuit.
- My face decided that this week would be an excellent time to break out all over the place. I'm especially excited about the pimple above my lip that resembles a gross cold sore.
- It literally took me twice as long to drive home on Tuesday because I spent at least half an hour not moving on the 405. (Blah blah, insert predictable LA traffic complaints here.)
- I may or may not have rushed out of the apartment one day this week without remembering to brush my teeth. Awkward.
- While Elease is off in Italy for the month (a month...my jealousy can hardly be contained), I'm guest posting at The Little Lovebirds, where I'm talking about our very first trip to LA (our honeymoon).
- Nutella. Mmmmmm.
- I think I may be the ONLY student in my MFA program who isn't working a day job and wishing they could be writing full time instead. I'm awfully lucky Ryan doesn't mind being my meal ticket for a few years until I become the next J.K. Rowling (HA! Yeah, right).
- Ryan got to play some sand volleyball this week after work. He was pretty pumped. And he's had such long days at work lately, I'm happy he gets to take a break and do something fun.
- TGIF. Seriously.
- I realized I haven't had a haircut in over 8 months. I should probably do that, huh?
I'm a new follower of yours and I have to say.... I'm slightly obsessed! You are a great writer and very beautiful! :) Never stopping blogging, k?!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the outfit...you so puuurty :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a pimple too and I NEVER get them!! It's making me crazy. Must be something in the air.
It's probably been...at least 6 months since my last haircut. I'm trying to grow it back out after I chopped it off in March 2011. It was a terrible thing that i did.
& definitely jealous of Elease and her 1 month in Italy thing...I'm keeping up with her on Instagram though. That's fun :)
haha - yeah after 8 months you should probably get one ..i just caved after six ...and it was a much needed caving :)
ReplyDeletelove your skirt btw!
I'm a new follower and loving your blog!
ReplyDeleteTGIF is right!! Enjoy your weekend girl!
Funny! My Ryan got to play beach volleyball in the Bahamas last week and was strangely giddy about it. Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the follow! I'm LOVING your blog! This outfit is too cute. It totally looks like something Austin, Texas girls would wear!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I LOVE your hair. What's your secret to growing it out so long? I've been trying for a year and it's only grown about 5 inches!
Loving this look from your head down to your toes! I was wondering how long you were gonna let that purdy hair grow :)
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! It's definitely time for a haircut! I'm so bad about that too.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love that skirt! I am thrilled that it came from F21... because that = not expensive!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
I love this outfit! Love the pleated skirt and boots. Also, I have a dog named Yoshi! I thought she was the only one in the world named Yoshi!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with that skirt. No really, obsessed. Also, I 100% feel your pain with the traffic situation. Sometimes driving back and forth in LA makes a work/school day even more tiring than work/school itself! xo

I would like you to slap her with a lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteI would also like all your winnings.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes a ridiculous amount of time between haircuts!
ReplyDeleteLove that skirt!!! Oh, and don't feel so bad, I haven't had a haircut in about that long as well. My hair is so long that I pretty much wear it in a bun EVERYDAY. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I want boots like that, but I can't find ones that aren't $300 that I like on my feet! Maybe I'm just too picky, because yours look super cute! I totally think you can be the next J.K. Rowling ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a darn cute skirt!! I'm in the same boat in the haircut department.. My split ends are getting kind of ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteLet's follow each other!

Loving your flirty skirt + boots combo! And I totally feel you on the absentee hair cut issue! Your locks still look gorgeous though!

Here&Now
Up until Thursday, it had been 3 months since my last cut or color... thankfully the color wasn't too noticeable, but my ends were ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteyou are really making me not like LA with all this crazy traffic talk. It can't be that bad, right?! just like kansas city, right?! ;)
ReplyDeletethe breaking out ... you should see my back. I'm not even kidding. I'll send you a picture. ok, I won't. It's a long story, but I'm back to the way I was when I was 13. BLAH.
I wish I had your 8-month old hair. soooo bad.
I love your outfit! These colors look great on you.
