Santa Monica Classic 5K

This morning, to end our season,
I ran the Santa Monica Classic 5K race
along with my team of lovely young ladies from Girls on the Run.
The weather was perfect, the scenery was pretty
and the start of the race was one insane, gigantic, overcrowded mess.
Our group didn't make it to the starting line until
two minutes after the race began.
(Which is the excuse I'm going with regarding why my time wasn't so hot...
we'll ignore the fact that I've been slacking off with my running lately).
All of the girls ran with their parents as "running buddies" and
we cheered them on throughout the race and at the finish line.
And then I made a beeline to The Coffee Bean,
because I woke up at 5 AM for this race and that was too darn early.

  2. That's the thing about LA, there's traffic (even foot traffic) EVERYWHERE! I miss it. Kind of.

  5. You are the most stylish runner ever!

I somehow let my lil sister convince me to do a Color Me Rad race next weekend... and apparently, you get paint thrown on you while you run. Who in their right mind would agree to this?! LOL
