Throwing down in the laundry room.

I think there maaay be something hiding beneath the clean fitted sheet.
Upon my arrival home, after my trip to Missouri, I was greeted by a big, fat pile of dirty laundry, just caaaalling my name. So, Wednesday afternoon I toted load after load from the apartment down to the laundry room of our complex. And, lucky for me, the "good" dryer was available. You remember the good dryer, right? In case you've forgotten, let me remind you.

At our apartment complex, it costs $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry, which feels way too ridiculously expensive, but that's beside the point. So, $1.00 to dry each load...except for this one extra special dryer that runs for just a quarter. Everyone knows about it. And it's almost always in use. But at this particular moment on Wednesday afternoon, it was free and I definitely took advantage.

While I waited for our clothes to dry, I went back to the apartment to edit my way through alllll of the fabulous photos I took in Missouri. But I was watching the time like a hawk and right on the dot, I ran down to the laundry room to fold my freshly fluffed clothes.

And I found them wadded up on top of the dryer while a big, obnoxious woman was shoving her own clothes inside.

Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! I was livid. I mean, who touches other people's laundry? Who does that? I was so floored, I couldn't even form sentences. I just walked up to the dryer and began folding up our clothes. And she didn't even say a word to me. Not even an embarrassed, "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I moved your clothes, I thought they'd been in there forever, blah blah blah" line. Nothin'.

And then, she started the dryer and she left. And I got our whites out of the washer and put them in another dryer, forking over the entire dollar it required. Then I looked left...and I looked right...and then I opened the obnoxious woman's dryer, left the door standing ajar so her time would run out and her clothes would stay soggy, and I ran back to our apartment like a terrified, guilty child.

Don't NOBODY mess with my laundry.

  1. That's hilarious. I can see if you had left it for an hour or something, but not if it had only been a few minutes. And she could have said something to you!

My cat gets under my fitted sheet every time I make the bed too. I think she thinks it's a fort. (I wish it was a fort)

  3. You are much nicer than me. I would have puled them out and left them in the floor.
