Last Thanksgiving we had a ton to celebrate and this
year I have even more to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for Yoshi and Dobby and their big, cute eyes,
even when they leave me surprise "presents" hidden behind the kitchen table.
I'm thankful for fuzzy flannel blankets when my tootsies get cold.
I'm thankful that I'm healthy and able-bodied enough to go out running,
even when my mind reeeally doesn't feel like it.
I'm thankful for peanut butter and for chocolate and for whoever had
the bright idea of combining the two.
I'm thankful for near-daily phone calls with my parents
and sporadic, often sarcastic text message conversations with my brother.
I'm thankful for the ocean that reminds me just how fascinating and awe-inspiring nature can be.
I'm thankful for the challenges I've faced because they've made me a stronger person.
I'm thankful for razors because right now, Ryan's face feels like a porcupine.
I'm thankful I have a husband who loves, supports and sacrifices for me,
even when I call him a porcupine face.
I'm thankful for books that inspire and help cultivate my creativity.
I'm thankful for my friends and all the wild adventures we've shared.
I'm thankful for Pinterest, because where else could I learn thousands of genius
cleaning tips that I'll most likely never put to use.
I'm thankful we have family who are always there for us.
I'm thankful for my education and for the scholarships that made it possible.
I'm thankful for fresh flowers, hot coffee, online shopping, sweatpants and ice cream.
I'm thankful for modern dentistry, because without it, I'd be a hillbilly with a missing tooth.
I'm thankful for all the opportunities I've had thus far
and the wonderful things that await me in the future.
Happy Tofurky Day! :)
