Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!

What I wore: 30 days. No outfit repeats. Day 30!
Shoes, Jessica Simpson. Pants, Bealls. Bandeau, Bealls. Tank, H&M.
Jacket, AE. Necklace, D'Arte Connection (boutique).
Yesterday was the first day since we've moved that I really felt like
I could say (shaking my head)
"Only in L.A."
It started at practice for Girls on the Run.
My first clue should have been that our head coach brought her camera along
yesterday. I thought it was a tad strange, but I shrugged it off.
Then, in the middle of our little pre-warmup review of the last week's lesson,
this girl walks up to our circle. A coach introduces her as a "guest"named Peyton who will be participating in our practice for the day.
Peyton introduces herself, says she's 14 (and I'm thinking, "Geez this is one
outgoing and well-spoken 14 year old") and joins the circle.
It seemed a bit peculiar (Why is this strange 14 year old joining our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders for practice? Why are the head coaches beaming like crazy people right now?)
but, hey, I don't make the rules. I just follow along.
It's not until 10 minutes later, when one of the girls says,
"You look a lot like the girl on 'Jessie',"
that we find out what's really going on.
It was Peyton List, who stars in a Disney show,
as well as in the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movies
The girls went WILD
She stayed the entire practice, running with our team
and talking to them about school and signing autographs.
Surprise celebrity visit to running practice? Only in L.A.
After practice, I frantically changed out of my sweats (in my car...don't judge)
and met Ryan for Happy Hour with his coworkers in El Segundo.
After that, it was on to dinner, then to the W Hotel in Hollywood for Yuri's Night Los Angeles
(a big, annual celebration of the first flight into space).
Sort of nerdy sounding, but I really just wanted to check out this sweet, swanky hotel!
Inside, we found some friends and moseyed over to the bar to grab a drink.
And then, I look behind me.
"That's Bill Nye."
At this point, I'm practically yanking Ryan's arm off to get his attention.
"Like, Bill Nye the Science Guy. Look!"
We were definitely standing just a few feet from Bill Nye the Science Guy.
(Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!)
Random partying with old science video celebrities? Only in L.A.

On a slightly unrelated note, I'm guest posting about Mexican food
(because what else am I more knowledgeable about?) over at Pink on the Cheek today!
It's my first guest post ever! And Pink on the Cheek is a sweet blog! Check it out, if you'd like :)
Have a happy weekend!

Let's be honest...way cooler than me.) BTW...expect an exciting life update soon. AND, jeeze stop looking tan and stuff in your pictures. It really makes me hate you.
